What we make
Crates made to size
Crates for sea freight of copper, glass, aluminium and machinery. Closed or slatted, with the IPPC mark for third countries.
Repair and reuse
We repair used crates and pallets and mark them again. Only registered companies may do that. Ours is number 079.

Does your consignment need an IPPC mark?
For those countries the timber has to be treated and marked. Without the mark the consignment stops at the destination port. We do it ourselves, you do not have to arrange anything.

About us
A family business. Henry Kasel started in Bissen in 1959; today his grandson Tom runs production. The administration has stayed in the family.

Does my consignment to China need an IPPC mark?
Yes. China, Australia and New Zealand require ISPM 15 treated timber with a valid IPPC mark. We may apply it, registration number 079.
And inside the EU?
No ISPM 15 treatment is required there. Where needed, the mark replaces the plant passport.
How quickly can you deliver?
We cut the timber once the order comes in, and we have 9,000 m² of storage. How long it takes in your case we will tell you as soon as we have read your request. Send us the quantity and the date you need it.
Can you repair our used pallets?
Yes, and we mark them again afterwards, as the standard requires.
Can you store finished goods for us?
Yes. Finished goods usually go straight out, but they can be stored and shipped on call-off.
Which sizes are standard?
Standard pallets, CP pallets and special pallets to your specification. Tell us the size you need. We cut to order and are not tied to stock sizes.
Where do I drive in?
Through the main hall. That is the only access to the yard and the ramp. The full route is on the Delivery & collection page.
